A Message From The Interim Rector:
It has been such a joy for me to serve as Interim Rector at Grace Church for the last 14 months. In just this short time I have been blessed by the love and care you share with one another. And I have been blessed by the ways the grace of God is present in this community. Thank you for calling me to be a part of this little season of Grace’s life.
It has also been a blessing to see the renewed energy that is emerging in our midst. My experience of this time convinced me that we needed to invest in the ministries identified in the first part of the rector search, and not miss the opportunities for growth and depth while the search continues. The vestry agreed, and we hired Mr. David Waters as our pastoral assistant for Christian Formation, Outreach and Pastoral Care.
This is a stretch budget wise, but I believe it will increase our vitality not only this year, but in the years ahead. I am writing to ask you to consider being a part of this investment in vitality at Grace. The average pledge increase needed to cover these increased costs is 22%. Perhaps you can do more, or that is a little too much. Just know that your giving has made, and continues to make a difference, and I am grateful.
