Kirk Care
The mission of Kirk Care is to demonstrate God’s love to reduce hunger and poverty in our community by feeding the hungry and providing emergency utility services to low-income families and individuals living within the Kirkwood R-7 school district.
Kirk Care is a non-profit organization formed in 1982, whose mission is to help the needy within the boundaries of the Kirkwood R-7 school district through food and utility assistance. Their clients include working adults, children, seniors, disabled veterans, under and unemployed, college students, and others who struggle with hunger and poverty. In January 2023, Kirk Care provided food to 147 clients (some clients are single people, some clients have two or more in their household), and assisted 15 clients with their utility payments.
For many years, Grace Church has been dedicated to fighting hunger in our community, and Kirk Care has been a valuable partner in this effort. Not only do we provide financial support, but our members also volunteer in various positions to help the ministry's mission. We believe that by working together, we can make a significant impact in ending hunger in our community. We encourage others to join us in supporting Kirk Care and their vital work.
